Jill Brandenburg's professional life is the stuff of wander-lusting, design filled dreams. Originally from Australia, Jill spent many years in London before moving to San Francisco, where she's been for the last four years. She's a designer at heart, and has worked on a huge variety of projects - from working alongside Ann Maurice on the tv show "House Doctor" (the UK's equivalent of "Jeff Lewis"), to designing branding to go on the side of a rocket. Today she's a full time blogger for The Design Lovers Blog, that she writes along with good friend and UK resident Sam.
We love Jill's appreciation for funky decor (that always errs on the side of good taste), adore the way she's styled her blog, and are so excited to bring you her great answers to our Designer Crush Q&A!

Take a ho-hum flea market ladder and turn it into an adorable display piece in a few easy steps!
We love how this project takes a discarded industrial item and turns it into a lovely vintage find! Ladders can be scored for cheap (especially if they're not sturdy anymore) at flea markets and urban recycling centers, and can look pretty darn chic when given with a fresh coat of paint and styled with wisely-chosen accessories. Big thanks to A Beautiful Mess for letting us share their original photos and project! Read More...
