Design Buzz: Fine Art Prints from the New Singular Editions

Picking the perfect print can feel as daunting as redecorating your entire abode, but shouldn’t it be as simple as deciding shaken or stirred? That’s where Singular Editions, a new line of fine art prints, comes in.

Sandra Jordan, the creative powerhouse once behind Jordan Winery and now her own luxury Prima Alpaca™ textile line, recently partnered with former Gump’s president Jed Pogran and merchandiser Jack Burrus to produce and frame fine prints with an eye on quality, composition and beauty. While selections stretch from ancient to modern works, the viewpoint is always contemporary, like this collage (above) constructed from newspapers spanning from the 18th to the 21st Century. “We consider the ways people live now as we adjust scale or freshen color or combine elements,” says Jordan.

All works are printed on acid-free, heavyweight cotton fiber papers and quality canvas and framed with reversible mounting. Backing components are acid free with UV-resistant glazing, a method used by many museums to preserve paper and print quality.

Some of our favorite works come courtesy of Manhattan-based painter William Machaddo, an artist who Burrus had worked with in his days at Gump’s and whose resonant abstracts were some of the first proprietary prints developed for the legendary SF store. Plus, prints start as low as $295, making it easy to add big style to a space without dropping big bucks.
