Prefab Profile: weeHouse

Prefab homes have made tremendous strides in the last decade. Architects are creating prefabs with more efficiency, more space, more character and all at a lower cost to the owner. The weeHouse, a line of prefab homes designed by Minnesota-based Alchemy Architects, is a perfect example of why the "pre" may no longer be necessary. These houses are full on fabulous!

The weeHouse come in a variety of shapes and sizes; from the Studio (starting at $70,000 ) to the Four Square (a 4-bedroom starting at $270,000.)

The Arado weeHouse in Pepin, WI is completely wrapped in Douglas Fir and feature floor to ceiling windows by Andersen. Built in 2003, the Arado stands as the iconic image of the weeHouse identity.

The Linden Hills weeHouse in Minneapolis, MN was built in 2007 and has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths.

Comments

weeHouse thanks you for the information listed above! To note, there is a weeHouse in the Palomar Mountains area, if people in CA are interested in seeing pictures of a 'local' one. It's on the weeHouse.com web site under Photo Galleries>weeHouse. Unfortunately, both the Sherman Oaks weeHouse and the Santa Monica weeHouse have been cancelled due to site issues. The Ventura Project is still in the planning stage, but more info can be found at http://www.smartlofts.net/.
