1. Who is your biggest role model? 

Tina Fey

2. Which movie or play do you wish you could have designed the set for? 

Something Vincente Minnelli would have directed like Designing Woman with Lauren Bacall.

3. What is the best way to gauge a client’s personality before starting a project? 

Listening to them.

4. What new design trends are you excited to integrate into your work? 

I like to stay away from trends. 

5. How do you completely unwind? 

Having 10 to 20 people over to my home for conversation, cocktails, and laughter. 

6. If you hadn't become a designer, which career would you have pursued

I tried all of the other careers, design is the only thing I ever really wanted to do.

7. What’s the worst pre-designer job you’ve ever had and why? 

Dishwasher: self- explanatory. 

8. What’s your favorite cocktail recipe? 

Vodka and a splash of lillet shaken with a splash of ginger ale has been a hit at my Nob Hill pad these days. 

9. Create your perfect playlist for us.

This is a hard one.  What is the occasion?  Since I confessed to “completely unwinding” by having 10 to 20 people over to my home I will use 11 songs that reflect the arch of the evening.  I’ll put them in order and attempt to take you on a journey.  Here goes:

Vintage, unless I am making it.

Han Solo.

If I told you, it would no longer be hidden.

Mason Pacific or 1760 in San Francisco.
