1. Who is your biggest role model?
Ron: My parents.
Jaime: My grandparents.

2. Which movie or play do you wish you could have designed the set for?
Ron: Auntie Mame.
Jaime: Auntie Mame.

3. What is the best way to gauge a client’s personality before starting a project?
Ron: If they’ve previously had multiple interior designers.
Jaime: By paying attention to how they treat staff, family, pets, and if they have a history with other interior designers.

4. What new design trends are you excited to integrate into your work?
Ron: We don’t follow trends.
Jaime: Integrating noteworthy and pedigree items to our projects is most exciting to me. Quality and the story behind the design is key.

5. How do you completely unwind?
Ron: In my backyard lounging in the sun and pool with all phones and internet off.
Jaime: The spa or a long beach vacation in a remote location.

6. If you hadn't become a designer, which career would you have pursued?
Ron: Artist.
Jaime: Magazine editor-in-chief.

7. What’s the worst pre-designer job you’ve ever had and why?
Ron: Box boy at a super market. Worst thing about it was the way people treat service workers.
Jaime: Cocktail waitress in college. I could not get the hang of balancing drinks on a tray very well!

8. What’s your favorite recipe?
Jaime: I don’t have a favorite recipe, but I can tell you that music at dinner and entertaining is imperative.

Ron: Being an artist.
