When Karin Blom returned to her childhood home to raise her own family, her mother’s legacy of color brought her back to life.
A Pierre Deux red toile proved to be the starting point. “The palm trees and the imperialistic quality inspired me. Plus it would work with the $1 prints I had gotten in Hawaii and framed with red borders. As a result, red dominated since it is not a big house and most rooms are visible from the next.”
