Second Skin

Sascha Jovanovic didn’t care much about the plain, two-story stucco house perched on a ridge in the Santa Monica mountains, but the avid nature lover was smitten with the breathtaking Malibu–to–Palos Verdes views that included soaring eagles by day and wild parrots singing their screechy calls each evening. “I could fix a house...but I couldn’t install a view or the sights and sounds of nature,” he says. The decision to buy was an easy one.
