Building a home on one of San Francisco’s many narrow and sloping lots is always a challenge, but one that was taken head on by the designers at John Maniscalco Architecture. “On urban lots we often try to make spaces feel bigger than they are, this naturally leads to open floor plans,” Design Principal John Maniscalco says about his latest project on 25th Street.
The sleek stairwell is a case study in minimalism. The stairs are made from rift white oak with a bleach stain. The entirely white space is given a pop by the artwork and steel plate guardrails.
