Get Cabin Fever and Check Out this SF Must-See

Looking for something awesome to do this weekend? We've seen a lot of cool things around SF in our days, but this one takes the cake.

What: Manifest Destiny

Who: Jenny Chapman

Where: 447 Bush Street, San Francisco

When: On view through, October 2012

Why you need to know:  San Francisco designer Jenny Chapman thinks the idea that all Westerners are homesteaders deserves a second look. Working with artist Mark Reigelman and local arts organization Southern Exposure, Chapman built a small cabin (made from wood reclaimed from an old barn in Ohio) and set it up on a little plot of “unoccupied land”—in this case, the exposed side wall of Hotel des Arts in downtown SF’s densely packed Financial District.
