Design Destination: West Hollywood’s Grafton On SunsetAuthor:Allison McCarthy
Boasting a prime location in the heart of Sunset Strip, the Grafton on Sunset is West Hollywood’s newest star. Newly reopened after an $8 million makeover, the hotel left no detail untouched. Design firm Forchielli Glynn outfitted the Grafton in Hollywood-chic décor and contemporary furnishings in a palette of grays and creams with bold pops of color throughout.
The lobby features a modern fireplace. Candles and lanterns lend a moody vibe and metallic finishes call up visions of a boudoir.
Each of the 108 guest rooms has a different theme, and five spacious suites evoke classic Hollywood scenes—from Rat Pack cool to ’50s pin-up girls in black, white, and pink.
In typical Hollywood fashion, the hotel has a saltwater pool—the largest on the Strip—and a private patio perfect for lounging with afternoon cocktails.
Just steps from the hustle and bustle of LA, the pool deck feels like a tranquil oasis.
Step through the tufted white leather door into award-winning steakhouse Oliver’s Prime, accented in rich aubergine with abstract black-and-white photos of floating jellyfish. This truly is LA’s latest design gem.
