Design Destination: Shop, Drink And Be PERI.A

Fashionista, socialite and entrepreneur Peri Arenas, whose boutique, Veri Peri at the Parker Palm Springs, the desert resort founded by her grandfather, brought excitement to the desert community’s fashion game, hopes to do the same thing in Los Angeles with PERI.A, her new store on Robertson Boulevard.

As her website suggests, “You won’t be walking into just any store. You’ll be stepping inside the world of Peri.A”. Designed by Lynda Murray, the 2,400 square foot space features high-tech dressing rooms, complete with monitors playing music videos and films. A neutral palette, layered with luxe materials, sensuous shapes and a subtle touch of glamor, is an upscale take on California organic modern. It serves as an inviting, comfortable yet blank canvas against which to showcase Arena’s playful, inventive and colorful mix of new talent, emerging designers from around the world, and exclusive items from well-established names. A back patio and a gift wrapping station, complete a full-service shopping experience

Arenas curates her assortment of clothing and accessories by finding “hot designers before they become hot gossip”. Handbags by South Korea’s Cecilia Ma, graffitied Louis Vuitton straps, clothing from Vivetta, Mira Mikati, Derek Lam and Shrimps shares space with hand-painted pieces from India.

“I believe that fashion in America has become safe and I’m ready to bring back a thrill to the art of dressing by inspiring women to wear what excites them.”
