The Record: Astonishing Views From This Divine $11.1M Renovation By Jay JeffersAuthor:Philip Ferrato
Where: 1750 Taylor, #1601, Russian Hill
Sold For: $11,100,000
What: This highest price paid in San Francisco in the month of April was for this 3-bed, 3.5-bath unit at the top of one of San Francisco’s few Mid-Century co-operative luxury buildings, completely redone by designer/retailer/tastemaker Jay Jeffers, architect Stephen Sutro, and Black Mountain Construction. As spectacular as the renovation is, there’s no question the austere re-design subtly subordinates to the views. Seriously, could you ask for better wallpaper?
The Team: Monica Pauli of Coldwell Banker Previews International represented the seller; Betty Brachman of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.
There are intimate spaces as well, tucked away from the vertiginous views, with Jeffers’ clever, signature sense of materials and finishes in the home theater (above) and entry hall, below.
More: Have a look at additional images and floor plans here. As befits an amenity-rich, full service building, the monthly maintenance is over $3000 a month.
