Where: 5228 Escalante Drive, La Cañada Flintridge
When: Sunday, October 15 from 1:00pm-4:00pm
What: A 5-bed, 5-bath Modernist composition in redwood, stone and glass, this c.2008 house can be forgiven if it looks c.1960. Deploying materials and technology in a way Mid-Century architects could only dream of, it’s an architectural tribute to the great California Post+Beam houses of the 1960s, updated in 2017 with new systems, kitchens and baths.
The classic open plan of Mid-Century houses may have been a shock in the past, but it’s the way many of us want to live today. All of the main entertaining spaces flow together, from the living and dining rooms out onto terraces to the library acheter du cialis en ligne and a kitchen/family room that opens to the secluded, walled pool.
What We Love: The simple palette of materials used consistently, throughout the the house; the same slate flooring used inside extends to the terraces and pool.
More: Have a look at the listing for additional details and images. Represented by Dorothy Korostoff and Carol Ortega at Deasy Penner; co-listed with Drew Fenton at Hilton & Hyland and Jane Mills at Coldwell Banker. Below, a glimpse of one of the two master suites and its private terrace.
