Jay Jeffers Created A Romantic Saint Helena Retreat. It Can Be Yours For $3.23M
Author:Philip FerratoThe well-known designer transformed a very ordinary St. Helena ranchburger into a dreamy retreat for himself and his husband Michael Purdy. But, still in love their original St. Helena home a few blocks away, they’ve decided to sell the new one. Completely furnished– right down to the sheets and towels.
Jay Jeffers is a pro at the art of stylish living, and delivering it to his clients. This wonderful house is no exception: 1255 Sylvaner Avenue is represented by the Wine Country realtor, David Wright, and the 3-bed, 3-bath property will be open on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on both days.

In classic Wine Country style, a wall of steel and glass windows opens the great room to outdoors, extending the space to a new patio, the pool and a bocce court. As part of the no-surface-left-untouched renovation, Jeffers opened the ceilings to a full twelve feet and installed new floors in a matte finished vintage oak from the luxury materials purveyor La Maison Nicolas.
No matter the occasion, everyone winds up in the kitchen, and jeffers gave this one a look that’s as chic as it is utilitarian– honed Pietra Cardosa countertops, leather-wrapped Waterworks hardware. Tile from Ann Sacks is set vertically, paired with immaculately crafted open shelving with recessed lighting.

Open to the patio and pool, the master suite has a romantic ensuite bath, a deep-toned composition of shimmering wall tiles from Ann Sacks.

What We Love: An opportunity to acquire a bespoke Wine Country property– and a way of life– created by a hugely talented designer. Seriously, one of those “bring your toothbrush” properties.
