Foldable Furniture from Christy Oates Design

If you like to entertain, no doubt you’ve at one point wished to have an extra chair hanging around to accomodate guests. Well, the new twofold line from San Diego State furniture design student Christy Oates takes that need literally. Ideal for small spaces, her laser-cut plywood boards can hang on the wall and, when needed, fold into chairs, desks – even a lamp. The pieces are sturdy and environmentally sound, and take up little to no space when stored. Prices for the line start around $2000, but starting April 1st Oates will have free templates available to download on her website, shoul you wish to go the DIY route.
