Scandinavian Design Direct from San DiegoAuthor:Lily Gahagan
Scandinavian style has been the darling of the design world for some time now, and with good reason: Those Nordic designers seem to have a knack for mixing whimsical fun and practicality to effortlessly cool results. But short of buying a plane ticket and heading due north, it can be hard to find well-priced homeware from those parts outside of one ubiquitous big-box chain. That is, until now.
Huset is a San Diego-based online retailer stocking “the best in modern Scandinvian design” – and they aren’t lying. It was hard picking just a few things to share, as literally everything they stock is seriously lovely. The colorful kitchenware from Rice dk makes me want to fill my cabinets with a rainbow of bowls, cups and plates.
I could tuck all matter of jewelry or keepsakes in these little bird pots from Camilla Engdahls.
And the sweet textiles and home goods from Almedahls look like mid-century treasures passed down from some Danish relative you never knew you had.
Get your dose of fun Scandinavian design here.
