APRRO Pop-Up Store

On Saturday from 6 pm to 9:30 pm, APRRO, CH+D’s 2010 award winner for best new product, is celebrating its first anniversary and the launch of its own pop-up store inside L.A.’s material [ENVIRONMENT]. And besides APRRO’s innovative furniture design, the store will be stocked with plenty of sake from the event sponsor, TY-KU—so come thirsty and ready to shop.

Barclay Butera Tent Sale

Saturday is the final day of Barclay Butera’s annual tent sale at his Newport Beach showroom. Covetable items from Baker, Henderson, Hickory Chair and Ralph Lauren Home have had their prices slashed 50 to 80 percent off. Southern Exposure’s Art Auction

Southern Exposure’s annual fundraiser and art auction is going down in San Francisco on Saturday night. Held at their stunning new Mission District location, the event will feature both a live and silent auction of work from over 160 artists, event-specific installations, live music, and of course, food and drink from some of SF’s finest establishments. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on their website.

Chomp 2 at the Conservatory of Flowers
If Golden Gate Park beckons this weekend, make sure to drop by the Conservatory of Flowers for the opening of “Chomp 2: Return of the Carnivorous Plants.” The show features an exotic array of meat-eating plants as well as botanical drawings from the SF Botanical Garden Society’s illustration program.

Not Quite an Eichler in Diamond Heights
This John Simmons–designed home, 48 Turquoise Way, features architecture and landscaping that would probably fit right in down in Palm Springs. Set on a hill, its floor-to-ceiling windows and generous decks take full advantage of the stunning views, which you can view for yourself this weekend
