Sale at BellJar in SF

San Francisco’s BellJar is having a spring clearance sale this weekend, where you can save 30–65 percent on their perfectly curated items for the home (not to mention the warm-weather-perfect fashions). Pray for sun and drop by for some barbeque and best buys on Saturday.

Tile It Away

If long weekends mean big home projects, head over to WalkOn Tile on Wilshire Boulevard in L.A., where selected glass tile and mosaics are on sale for $6-$8 per square foot. Also, scoop up selected micro pebbles for just $6 per square foot.

Surf’s Up

What could be more appropriate for the official start of summer than the opening on an exhibition of surf art from around the world. Rouge Wave II will be at the Anderson Art Collective in Carpinteria, and all proceeds from Saturday night’s opening celebration will benefit the Surfrider Foundation.

Art House Flicks

Filmmaker John Waters debuts his fourth solo exhibition at the Rena Bransten Gallery in San Francisco. The exhibition features his photography and sculpture, which is as thought-provoking (and at times, as shocking) as his movies.

A Life Aquatic

Restauranter Pat Kuleto has put his 3-bedroom, 2-bath Sausalito houseboat on the market. He affectionately named it Lilypad and it features an open floor plan, three levels, a fireplace, and wet bar. It’s open for viewing this Sunday, 1–4, and is priced less than many 1-bedroom condos in SF at $495,000.
