Weekly Web Round Up!

Our weekly round up of what our design friends on the web are reporting on.

It may be a hazy San Francisco day where I am, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still dream of summer. This roundup of ten inspiring (and out-there) pools is the perfect post to dive in to before this (supposed) sunny weekend. Via ApartmentTherapy
On Sunday, the design world lost one of its very best. Designer Tobias Wong passed away at the age of 35. Design Calendar pays tribute to this young talent and the footprint he left in the design community. Via Design-Calendar
GrassRootsModern uncovers something of a web treasure trove: that Arts and Architecture still has all of the original Case Study house articles available on their website for free. It’s a wealth of information, and a must read for anyone interested in midcentury modern architecture. Via GrassRootsModern
Michelle Kaufmann introduces us to the gorgeous bent wood furniture of Korean designer Bae Sehwa. His “Steam Works” collection includes a range of individual chairs, long benches and sculptural public seating circles. Via Michelle Kaufmann
The Redwoods Treehouse near Auckland, New Zealand is a wonderland of cocoons and walkways built in a redwood forest out of sustainably harvested pine and poplar slats and locally milled redwood balustrading. Gotta see it to believe it.  Via Inhabitat
