| “Light Shadows” at Ace Gallery An exhibition of new paintings and textile sculptures by Achim Freyer, the artistic director for L.A. Opera’s new production of Richard Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen,” opens at the Ace Gallery this Saturday. The pieces were inspired by his work on the opera, as was a performance he created for this weekend’s opening that combines theater, painting and masked costumes.
