“Light Shadows” at Ace Gallery
An exhibition of new paintings and textile sculptures by Achim Freyer, the artistic director for L.A. Opera’s new production of Richard Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen,” opens at the Ace Gallery this Saturday. The pieces were inspired by his work on the opera, as was a performance he created for this weekend’s opening that combines theater, painting and masked costumes.

Documentary Photography Group Show at RayKo
Opening on Friday at Rayko Gallery in San Francisco, “The Archives” is the work of 18 photographers from the Academy of Art University and the Bay Area Documentary Association; images that capture a collection of life’s fleeting moments that are often dismissed.

Show: REAL ESTATE

Location and Looks in the Mission
This new-construction, top-floor condo has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and outdoor space. The property avoids the cookie-cutter condo look with marble tiles in the bath, a steel-encased fireplace and creative light fixtures, while the location in the heart of the Mission District means never being short on dinner options. Open Sunday, 2–4 p.m.
