South Pasadena Gets Sweeter with House of Honey
Author:Abigail StoneBack in my college years, a day in nearby Pasadena was usually spent exclusively in Old Town, perusing the sales racks at Urban Outfitters and stopping off for a bite at the Cheesecake Factory before heading home. My, how times–and my taste–have changed.
These days I’m skipping that Colorado Boulevard exit and driving straight to the area’s more up-and-coming shopping destinations, with South Pas at the top of my list. What’s the draw? Right now I’m dying to check out House of Honey, the newly opened brick-and-mortar home decor store from interior designer Tamara Kaye-Honey.
If that name sounds familiar, you might have seen her dreamy home in Cookie magazine (if not, make sure to view the slideshow). There’s no doubt the lady’s got great taste in spades, and now you can find home accessories, customized vintage furniture, and textiles in the store all carefully selected with her unique aesthetic in mind. The shop is also home to Kaye-Honey’s design studio, offering consultations on small projects up to total residential renovations.

You can take a look at some of her finished projects on the House of Honey website. They’re gorgeous, livable, and every bit as yummy as a slice from the Cheesecake Factory.
