What events not to miss this weekend, from sales to exhibitions to open houses.

Shop: SALE

Sidewalk Shopping on Beverly
There will be plenty of seasonal cocktails and munchies to keep you powering through the Beverly Boulevard Sidewalk Sale this Saturday, where dozens of shops between La Brea and the Grove, including Specific, Urban Pet, Rehab Vintage Interiors and Suss Design, will be offering sweet summer deals.

Reclaimed Savings
This weekend you can save up to 50 percent on selected reclaimed wood furniture from Berkeley’s beloved The Wooden Duck, from slatted consoles to teak communal tables. For those away from the East Bay this weekend, savings are also available online.

See: EXHIBITS

Art on the Move
More than a dozen galleries along San Francisco’s Post and Sutter streets will participate in this Saturday’s Summer Art Walk. The free, self-guided event will feature artist talks, performances, live music, film screenings, and of course, refreshments.

Psycho at the Symphony
This is no typical night at the movies. This Saturday night, the San Francisco Symphony performs the score to Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho alongside a screening of the film inside SF’s Davies Symphony Hall.

Show: REAL ESTATE

Show Me the Midcentury
Get a closer look at a piece of classic midcentury SoCal architecture this Sunday when 9119 Thrasher Avenue opens up for potential buyers. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath house was designed by Franklin D. Israel in 1957 and features classic case-study-era glass walls and post-and-beam construction. Asking $1,435,000 and open Sunday 2–5 p.m.
