Inspired by Butler Armsden’s Richmond Remodel
Author:Abigail StoneI was flipping through our website’s inspiration rooms (if you haven’t yet, give it a go–lots of good stuff in there) and–how fitting–came upon a most inspiring space. San Francisco architecture firm Butler Armsden transformed this Edwardian home in the city’s Richmond District to encompass the homeowners’ Scandinavian predilections by opening it up, building an addition, and giving the entire place a modern spin.
But purists, put down your pitchforks. The beauty of this remodel is that the firm managed to maintain the home’s period details while also catering to their clients’ style preferences, so it’s really a win-win.
I don’t know about you, but all these crisp green accents are making me crave a Granny Smith. The color is working wonders with the blue-grays, whites, and light wood. You can see more of this remodel, including floorplans and more information on the home, at the Butler Armsden website.
