What events not to miss this weekend, from sales to exhibitions to open houses.

Shop: SALE

SF Flea Markets
As far as flea markets go, the monthly Alameda event has long ruled the scene in the Bay Area. But San Francisco hopes to level the field with their own markets, including the Alamo Square Flea Market this weekend, which is being held in conjunction with Indie Mart.

Sale at Nickey Kehoe
Interior designer Nickey Kehoe has an eye for the perfect piece, and lucky for us his Highland Avenue shop is filled with them. Even better, everything is 25 percent off this weekend.

See: EXHIBITS

Art & Soul Oakland
The 10th annual Art & Soul Festival Oakland goes down this weekend downtown at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza and has musical guests that will bring you back to the days of lockers and chem lab: MC Hammer, Tony! Toni! Toné! and En Vogue to name a few.

Muse ‘Til Midnightat LACMA
LACMA presents its fourteenth annual Muse til’ Midnight, celebrating Thomas Eakins and Catherine Opie. Enjoy after-hours access (8:15–12pm), live musical acts, vaudeville performers and steampunk-inspired crafts, including a “homegrown” and “homemade” moustache contests. And don’t forget the complimentary cocktails.

Show: REAL ESTATE

Mint Midcentury
Designed by Edward H. Fickett in 1956, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath Sherman Oaks home is pitch-perfect midcentury, replete with all the original details—and a few new ones, like hardwood floors, mosaic-tiled baths, and an outdoor spa to sweeten the pot. That might be because this house has never hit the market until now. Asking $949,000 and open this Sunday 2–5 p.m.
