AIA’s San Francisco Living: Home Tours this Weekend
Author:Abigail StoneViewing distinctively designed homes in print or online is great, but even for this magazine and design blog junkie, nothing beats seeing those same homes in person. If you’re in San Francisco this weekend, you’ve got the rare opportunity to step foot inside some of the latest much-lauded residences around the city, thanks to the American Institute of Architects.
Their popular San Francisco Living: House Tours program is going on this Saturday and Sunday, September 11th and 12th, and features homes ripped from the pages of California Home + Design and beyond. The open house format allows participants to walk the residences and meet the designers behind them, all while taking in the trends and details that make an architecture buff swoon. Tickets are available to purchase online now through Friday, after which you can get them at the event’s headquarters, set up in Stable Café in the Mission.
Want a few peeks of the featured spaces before plunking down $60+ for a ticket? AIA’s got a list of all the participating homes here, and Remodelista has a nice preview of some of the projects too. Hop over to check them out, then get your ticket here.
