New Furniture Store Mine on Melrose Ave. Our New Favorite

Author:

No trip to L.A. is complete without a drive down Melrose. Here you get a quick rundown of all of the city’s fashion cliques on one street, moving from swanky highbrow (think Maxfield) to in-you-face trendy (hi, Fred Segal!) to funky thrift stores in just a short drive east. But if fashion isn’t your thing, take note: There’s a new shopping destination on Melrose, and rather than gearing itself towards one home trend, it’s more an all inclusive joint.

Drive a skosh further east down the street to new furniture store Mine, where one-of-a-kind pieces like antique harp cases mingle alongside well-priced mid-century sofas–a mix of the beautiful and practical. The store just opened this summer, but it’s already garnering buzz for its eclectic selection of vintage items and furniture from new, up-and-coming L.A. designers. And since it’s located within walking distance of other well-loved home stores (Reform Gallery is just a few blocks away), you can make an afternoon of it. Not in Los Angeles? Take a look at Mine’s vintage selection online here.
