Grab a Piece of Americana from Ace Hotel and One Trip PassAuthor:Abigail Stone
The official end of summer is a mere few days away, but despite–or perhaps, because of–that, I’m fantasizing about the ultimate road trip.
Why torture myself so late in the game? Blame it on the folks at Ace Hotel, who, along with professional road trippers One Trip Pass are currently on a coastal crawl from Portland to L.A. Luckiest of all, they’re doing it in that icon of summer treks, a gleaming Airstream trailer, with extra supplies courtesy of another summertime classic, Pendleton. Talk about a dream trip!
While most of us won’t be taking a few weeks off to savor the end of the season in such style, we can live vicariously through them–and reap the fruit of their spoils–once they pull into Los Angeles this week. They’re stopping along the way to find souvenirs and treasures for a collaborative show and pop-up shop taking place at L.A.’s confusingly named Cleveland Art gallery. Expect to find oddities, pieces of Americana, crafts, oddities, and pure California kitsch for around your home. Details here:
