Links Roundup: Melrose Project opens, Poppytalk’s 2011 Calendars, The “Nogg” Chicken Coop and The Festival of Flowers
Author:Abigail StoneIt’s Friday–have you checked out yet? Why not ease into the end of the workweek by treating yourself to some design blog browsing before the whistle blows. Here are a few of our favorite spots from around the web this week to keep you occupied before the clock strikes quittin’ time.
• The Melrose Project, an antique and contemporary furniture gallery, recently opened on–wait for it!–Melrose in Los Angeles. Remodelista’s got all the details, but we’ll share this: They’ll be stocking sumptuous Olatz sheets–yum!
• Still think it’s too early for calendar talk? Maybe the pretty designs in Poppytalk’s 2011 roundup will change your mind. I’m partial to the version from San Francisco’s Pie Bird Press, which highlights the best in-season fruits and vegetables for each month of the year.

They’re only available in the UK now, but it’s not stopping me from coveting the space-age suckers. • If you’re in San Francisco this weekend, dip into St. Mary’s Cathedral for some truly fantastic floral designs at the annual Festival of Flowers. The pièce de résistance will be one massive arrangement that clocks in at a massive 500 pounds. And did we mention it’s free?
