How to Work With White PorcelainAuthor:Abigail Stone
Did you catch the amazing sneak peek of event planner Meghan Fickling’s home on design*sponge yesterday? Oh my. If not, go have a look and come back–I’ll wait.
The juxtaposition of mega-watt colors with crisp white accents feels so sunny and bright, like Los Angeles in home form. Which is fitting, as the house is situated right inside Santa Monica. Fickling’s extensive collection of white porcelain pieces particularly caught my eye. I love how the mix of sizes and textures popped so brilliantly when set against those punchy wall colors. It inspired me to chase down a mix of pottery to try a similar look at home. Here are a few of my favorites from around the web:
Bud vase from Janson Pottery, $22.
Porcelain carafe from A+R, $95.
Thorn vase from Jonathan Adler, $195
Färm vases from IKEA, $2.99 each.
Handle vases from FloralArt, $69 each.
Set of four vita vases from Michiko Shimada, $100.
Any more you’d care to add?
