New Heath Ceramics Collaboration

Last year Heath Ceramics sold gorgeous limited edition ceramic canisters with black American walnut wood lids.  They were a collaboration between renowned potter Alma Allen, Heath Ceramics Director Adam Silverman, design firm Commune, and Heath Ceramics.  This past weekend in Los Angeles, Heath unveiled a new collection of one-of-a-kind pieces from the same talented group.

Commune designed the canisters. Allen made the custom walnut wood lids for vessels hand-thrown by Silverman. In a twist, Silverman hand-threw ceramic lids for Allen’s carved wood sculptures. Allen also made wooden lids for a selection of pieces from Heath’s standard line.

The show runs through December 5 at Heath Los Angeles. Pieces are available there, and some are for sale at the  Ferry Building location in San Francisco.
