2010 Hit List: The Modena Table by Stephanie Batties

Designer Stephanie Batties, a partner at Redwood City’s Emerson Street, wanted to create a piece that would be a graceful departure from the angular, architectural designs that the furniture company has been making since 1996. For her Modena table, Batties used faux silver leaf for the pair of sculptural, interlocking steel half-circles and gave the hefty cherry wood top and base a deep ebony stain. The table is 31½ inches tall and 72 inches wide and is offered in a variety of additional finishes and wood options.
