2010 Hit List: Juliana Chaise Collection by Janie Kasarjian

Although she’s worked with plenty of spotlight-stealing pieces in her 20 years as an interior designer, Janie Kasarjian created her Juliana chaise to let the rest of the room shine, whether it’s the architectural details or a killer view. “I wanted to create a versatile piece that would make a statement without blocking lines of sight,” says the Camarillo-based designer. The result is a low-slung chaise with a classic shape, nailhead detailing and endless customizable options, from dimensions to fabric. “It’s been made small enough to be a bench and large enough to be a full-size daybed,” says Kasarjian, who uses a Los Angeles manufacturer to ensure that designers’ custom orders for the chaise (which is available at Regal Furniture Collection at the L.A. Mart and Bau Showroom at the Laguna Design Center) can be filled quickly.
