What’s That You’re Reading?

With the iPad, Kindle, and other e-readers, many people are reading books that require a lot less paper and much more battery power. Still, there is something about the leather-bound beauty of a physical book that is hard to replace. But that doesn’t stop people from trying. Here are a few book-inspired cases for your electronic novel.

If you’re going to go old-school you might as well go all the way. This creamy leather iPad case from Dunhill has a certain late 19th century flair. The case are produced in limited batches of 20 at Dunhill’s London-based leather workshops.

Twelve South has created a hardbound leather case called the BookBook for iPad. With an elastic band to keep your iPad in place and velvet interior cushions to protect it from jarring, this case provides book-worm style and big bully protection, ($69.99.)

For those of you, like me, who haven’t upgraded to the iPad but still want to protect your laptop in some faux-literary fashion, Twelve South also makes the BookBook for MacBook Pro, (starting at $79.99.)
