Kelly Wearstler Moves From Interior Designer to Fashion Designer

Well, it was only a matter of time before this happened. Interior designer and TV host Kelly Wearstler, the woman who launched a thousand Hollywood Regency wannabes, is expanding into fashion. Her debut line of clothes, jewelry, bags and accessories is launching at Bergdorf Goodman in a space she also designed. While her insane outfits (and the hats! who can forget the hats!) were probably the most entertaining aspect of Bravo’s “Top Design,” her debut line is relatively restrained, but features Wearstler’s signature use of color and texture.

Wearstler’s new line doesn’t come cheap, with prices ranging from $205 to $1,395 for clothes, $155-$995 for jewelry, and $795-$995 for purses.

Wearstler has also been blogging about it on her site, and mentions that the collection was shown to a group of buyers and editors in a loft she designed, so if the panels behind the models and the boldly optical floor pattern seem familiar, they’re classic Kelly, who is not known for her fear of brazen geometric patterns.
