Liberty of London has been making textiles in England since 1843. But when I look at the relentlessly cheery prints on their new napkins, I can’t help but feel there’s something all-American about them. The latest styles are at Sue Fisher King in San Francisco.
They are only napkins, but they are evocative. The bright colors make me dream of summer and dining outdoors on a sunny afternoon.
Sure, the famous Liberty & Co. department store is in London’s West End, but can’t you see a rustic Sonoma county picnic dressed with these 70s-style prints?
Sue Fisher King has them in six-inch-square cocktail ($6) and 22-inch-square dinner napkins ($35).
