Rotary Phone 2.0
Author:Lindsey ShookWhile many retro-inspired designs are only revisited for the sake of nostalgia. There are times when past designs (with a little technological retooling) can offer a great deal to the present. I feel that the Sagemcom Sixty cordless rotary phone is a perfect example.
Besides looking great, the Sagemcom Sixty was designed to be user-friendly. With a large handset, big numbers, and bright, easy-to-read letters. If you ask me, the shape and feel of old rotary phone handsets were invariably more comfortable than today’s current selection of cordless phones.
The Sagemcom features touch dialing, a LCD screen, 10 ring tones, caller ID, speed dialing, and the ability to memorize up to 150 numbers. The phone is currently only available in Europe for about $160.
