Dog Casting Call For Acclaimed Book “Rover” at Mill Valley’s Cabana Home This Weekend!

We’re true-blue animal lovers over here at CH+D, so we’re excited to support any cause that helps furry and fuzzy critters get new homes. The latest on our radar? The Mill Valley Casting Call and Pet Rescue Fundraiser for Rover at Cabana Home this Sunday, May 15.

Acclaimed pet photographer Andrew Grant is encouraging any and all Bay Area dog owners to come to Mill Valley’s Cabana Home with their four-legged friends in tow to be auditioned for the final edition of Rover, the block-busting coffee table book that helps raise awareness for the millions of pets dumped at shelters every year. Although no actual photography will take place at this event, your pretty pup will still be considered for a page or two in the printed product.

However, if you want to guarantee your dog a page, you can donate $2500 to the Marin Humane Society (which will go to helping abandoned dogs and cats find home across the Bay Area). And a cool $10,000 donation will get your dog its own spread and one of Rover‘s covers.

For humans, refreshments and merchandise will be available, and there will be doggie treats galore. Bring your dog in at the time specified for their weight class:

up to 20lbs 10:00 -11:30 am
21-40lbs 11:30 – 1:00 pm
41-70lbs 1:00 – 2:30 pm
over 70lbs 2:30 – 4:00 pm

See you there!
