Tracy Glover Glass Designs

You know that the right bauble or bangle can make a simple dress a statement-making outfit. Designer Tracy Glover applies that idea to interiors. Her latest creation, the Jewel Box System, features adornments any accessory lover would covet.

Here’s how it works: Glover creates a series oversize glass beads on strands that can be used as  room dividers (floor-to-ceiling or partial), wall decoration or lighting. These pretties are totally customizable in shape, color and configuration. The version above is a non-electric room divider.

The photo above shows how the strands can be electrified and used in a lighting fixture.

This rendering shows another way they can be used (and gives a sense of scale). The system debuts at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair this weekend in New York City. To order contact the artist.

The work of Rhode Island-based Glover has just hit stores in California. Her brightly colored Licorice Stick vases can be ordered through Barney’s New York or Anthem in SF. Customization is Glover’s thing: The vases are made-to-order in colors of your choice.
