Estate Sale Report: End of an Era in Healdsburg
Author:Lindsey ShookAre you a steampunk, an industrial design lover, the ulimate maker or just an old fashioned junker? There’s a sale for you in Healdsburg this weekend.
The Healdsburg Machine Shop, located at 452 Healdsburg Ave., shuttered earlier this year. The century-old business, once famed for its grape crushing and destemming equipment service, leaves behind a bounty of gear for the enterprising design enthusiast.
Diggers will find not just machine tools (engine lathes, band saws, hydraulic presses), but things like molds, gears and fittings that could be made into interior-worthy items.
Not to mention a treasure trove of industrial lighting, benches, tables and antique equipment.
Organizers describe it as the ultimate sale for tools, antiques and oddities.
The sale starts this morning at 8 a.m. and runs through Sunday (closing times not specified). Check out this photo gallery of the goods and I know you’ll be inspired. Call 707-433-4315 with questions.
As long as you are headed to Healdsburg, check out the Healdsburg Homes Tour on Sunday. The annual event takes visitors inside several houses around the town plaza, and it’s always a treat.
