Herman Miller Celebrates Five California Architects
Author:Marissa GluckThe web site for furniture and design company Herman Miller has always been pretty impressive, offering 3D models and advanced visualization tools allowing us to spin around in its chairs. Now the company has launched a new web series called POV celebrating the work of five California architects.

Herman Miller partnered with digital agency Hello Design to direct the interviews and build the site. Interviews with architects Leo Marmol and Ron Radziner of the eponymously named Marmol Radziner talk at length about the interaction between site, context and design for the Desert House, despite the fact that it was a pre-fab experiment.

Other interviews include Kim Coleman of Cigolle X Coleman, James Meyer of LeanArch, Jim Jennings of Jennings Architecture and John Friedman of JFAK Architects. Lest you forget this is a Herman Miller-sponsored endeavor, photographer Juergen Nogai (a former partner of Julius Shulman) has capture some of the company’s classic designs in the Inspired Spaces sections of the site.
