Cool Finds: Minimal in Hayes Valley
Author:Stephanie OrmaMinimal boutique in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley is like a candy store for the modern design-obsessed. (Think: clean, clever, contemporary, and ultra-functional). The shop is chock full of delicious home décor designs–and you seriously want one of everything for your abode. I was recently in the shop ogling over their newest wares and picked out a few of my wish-list faves.
Mormor Ribbed Porcelain Cups, Bowls, and Decanter by Normann Copenhagen (various prices).
Menu Wine Breather Carafe by Peter Orsig/Norm Architects ($70)
Names and Notes Napkin Rings (set of 4 for $34) – These clever black and white napkin rings have a “chalkboard” surface so you can personalize the seating for your dinner guests and reuse again. You can also leave out the pencil and eraser sponge so chowing friends can pass fun notes to each other like “you have something stuck in your teeth.”
Salt and Pepper set by Vipp ($188)
Dustpan & Broom by Normann Copenhagen ($18) – If you have to do some dirty work, might as well look damn stylish in the process. Have you ever seen a more beautiful dustpan and broom set?
For more awesome designs, check out Minimal’s website or better yet, visit their crave-worthy San Francisco store at 364 Hayes Street. And I’d love to hear about your favorite go-to design shop in the Bay Area. Have one? Spill the goods!
