Design Buzz: Hey* Furniture

Using hay to stuff furniture has been done for centuries, but the intention has always been to keep it under wraps. Not so, for Italian upholsterer Fabio del Percio, who’s new line of furniture called Hey* attempts to make this grassy horse food the star. Percio takes Icelandic hay, forms it into furniture and encases it in a transparent PVC cover that allows it to breath and stay fresh. No word yet on its hypoallergenic attributes, hay fever sufferers beware!
