Wanted: Relaunched Verner Panton Chairs
Author:Stephanie Orma“Look Ma! No legs!” Famed Danish designer Verner Panton’s “S” shaped System 1-2-3 Chairs are back in production – swoon! Originally designed in 1973, the ultra-organic designs refreshingly forgo the oh-so-obvious chair with four legs concept. “I want to design furniture that grows up out of the floor,” Panton had said about his unconventional chairs – which took over three years to develop.
The relaunched designs produced by Verpan stay true to the original, but offer crave-worthy dining room and lounge chairs options.
These swanky hipster pieces come in fabric or leather and are padded with a cushiony foam rubber interior. And from plum to orange to charcoal the color choices are smokin’ hot.
Check out the covetable System 1-2-3 Chairs at Design Within Reach…but take a seat before you check out the prices.
