Hot or Not: Cardboard Furniture

Australian company, Karton, is one of the latest cardboard furniture folks to catch the buzz in the design world. From “Paperpedic” beds with storage, to nightstandsdining tables, and even shelves that look like barnyard animals – these furnishings are all made with simple cardboard and tons of intricate, interlocking folds.

Plus, they’re super affordable: Where else can you buy a bed that morphs from a single to a ginormous king sleeping ten and holding close to a ton, for just $188?  But although they’re clever (and great for note jotting), I’m still not convinced I want to deck out my abode with cardboard contemporary classics. What do you guys think, craveables or forgettables?
