Blu Dot and Better Shelter Partner on Home StagingAuthor:Marissa Gluck
A couple of weeks, a surf-inspired room we posted by boutique real estate developer Better Shelter, received a lot of praise on our Facebook page. Principal Steve Jones let us know that he’s recently teamed up with Blu Dot on the staging for his latest home. The furniture retailer just opened its first West Coast shop in L.A. in June.
The pairing makes sense – the two share a similar design aesthetic and outlook. Both believe in the ability to improve people’s lives through design, and strive to make modern design (more) affordable.
The first home staged with Blu Dot’s furniture and Jones’ knick knacks and quirky objet d’arts is a three-bedroom, two-bath (plus two room studio) located between Atwater Village and Glassell Park.
The layout is fairly open, with the kitchen and dining area spilling into the living room, creating a need to define the space through the strategic use of furnishings. The house just went on the market for $499,000 and if the demand for Better Shelter properties in the past is consistent, it won’t be for sale for long.
