An overhall by Safdie Rabines Architects took a narrow beachfront lot in Malibu and turned it into a liveable work of art. Here, the atrium runs along the east side of the house so that the light reaches deep into the interior space od the building. For privacy and shade, the architects added an “indoor trellis” made of horizontal teak slates.
