Portland’s Rejuvenation Opens Outpost in HD Buttercup

Lighting and hardware store Rejuvenation is beloved by Pacific Northwesterners in Portland and Seattle. Now the retailer is opening its third store, and its first in Southern California. The company was founded in 1977 as a one-man architectural salvage shop.

Today, it’s one of the largest reproduction lighting manufacturer in the country. The LA store, in the Helms Bakery complex across from H.D. Buttercup not only includes lighting but also new and vintage furniture and housewares such as barware, pottery, and coffee table books. There are also salvaged items likes old neon signs, and according to the LA Times, a “rope coffee table.”

The store is divided into sections such as Midcentury Modern, Classical Revival, Arts and Crafts, so buyers can easily find period pieces. Most of the lighting is priced in the $100 to $6,000 range but items like vintage juice glasses are as low as $8.

The store’s grand opening is tonight at 6pm. Proceeds from a silent auction during the event will benefit People Assisting the Homeless in Los Angeles. Reservations are requested.
