Art, Jewelry and Housewares in Castro Estate Sale
Author:Lindsey ShookThis Saturday and Sunday people who enjoy the hunt should head over to the Castro for an estate sale that promises a bounty of jewelry, ceramics, paintings, and prints as well as a variety of furniture, dishes and decorative arts. The people staging the event say that items from previous sales will be discounted by 20 percent, so there are deals to be had.
The organizers, Fine Estate Liquidation, are advertising a pirate’s bounty of silver. I’m eyeing the bracelet with the enamel charms seen at the bottom of this photo—so retro chic.
I’m also into what seems to be a high roller-style money clip shown in the center of this shot.
Midcentury pottery is very in right now, and there’s plenty of it here, from tall and sculptural to short and rounded.
The art ranges from eccentric oil paintings, to abstract wall hangings, to items with leather lover appeal.
The event takes place at 4443 20th St., Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
