This Weekend! SF Arts Commission’s Passport 2011
Author:Stephanie OrmaThis Sunday, San Francisco’s established and up-and-coming artists will make their mark – and it’s yours for the taking. In the ultimate DIY-art-collectors journey, SF Art Commission’s Passport 2011 invites you travel around the Castro District collecting original, artist-designed stamps (from the artist themselves) in a hip little “passport” book.
With map in hand, you’ll embark on a stamp-collecting quest, following a designated three square block route gathering marks from artists like Chris Duncan (below), Margaret Tedesco, Dan Nicoletta, and Michelle Tea.
Seriously, this is one of the city’s coolest and most fun art fundraisers. You can snag a passport for an affordable $25, support SF arts, and walk away with a sweet limited-edition collector’s book. For more info, visit SFAC.
On your mark, get set, go!
