Jak Home Introduces Ceramics by LA-Based Lesley Anton
Author:Lindsey ShookLooking for a last-minute holiday gift or a unique entertaining piece? Russian Hill home furnishings and accessories boutique Jak Home, owned by interior designer Kathleen Navarra, has just introduced a new line of beautifully designed tabletop ceramics from celebrated Los-Angeles-based artist Lesley Anton.

Titled Lesley Anton: Utility, the expressly functional collection includes vessels, cups, bowls, plates, pots and mugs designed with modernity and sophistication. Anton’s bold, sculptural forms feature lovely textural surfaces and deep, high-fired glazes in nature-inspired hues, such as snow, sky, mud, sand and algae. Her curiously cast porcelain honey bears and porcelain gear forms (cast off of a brake drum salvaged from a recycling yard) bring a surprising element of wit to the table. Better yet, the collection is produced in an eco-friendly clay studio and workshop, and the clay is locally manufactured in Los Angeles. If the “organic modern” aesthetic is up your alley, what better way to support a California artist?
